Last week, NWA Executive Director, George Szczepanski met with other trade groups who represent industries that benefit from research and promotion boards (aka "checkoffs") like the National Watermelon Promotion Board (NWPB). Along with our other industry allies, we oppose the OFF Act (S.557 and H.R.1249), which threatens necessary research and promotion activities that benefit U.S. agriculture and natural resource-based products.
