A new educational webinar series focused on cucurbit viruses in the United States will be offered this spring, providing timely insights for growers and industry stakeholders. Hosted by the Emerging Viruses in Cucurbits Working Group, the three-part series will cover key viruses impacting cucurbit crops, including watermelon. The focus will be on virus identification, transmission, and management strategies. Each session will highlight specific virus groups and provide practical information on symptoms, spread, and control methods. There will also be broader discussions on factors influencing disease pressure across regions. The series is designed for growers, crop advisors, Extension personnel, and others involved in cucurbit production.
All webinars are free to attend, however, registration is required for each session.
