The USDA has announced an initial list of additional commodities that have been added to the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP), as well as program adjustments based on comments received from AG producers and organizations and review of market data.  Producers will be able to submit applications that include these commodities and changes on Monday, July 13, 2020.    “The initial reaction to this press release was – WHERE IS WATERMELON in the price loss category? We learned last night that USDA would announce changes (additions) to the CFAP categories in two steps.  The second announcement is due within the next two weeks.
