Agricultural employers should exercise caution with signatures on Form I-129 following reports of recent USCIS denials when signatures appeared to be electronically applied, copied, or reused from previous filings.
Our recommendation: get a new, original wet signature for each application and avoid reused or digital signatures. Employers have also reported success using fresh signatures less than 90 days old.
This information comes from the National Council of Agricultural Employers (NCAE), of which NWA is a member, and reflects experiences recently shared by agricultural employers.
With updated procedures allowing USCIS to deny certain petitions without first providing an opportunity to respond to a Request for Evidence, ensuring proper signature practices is a crucial detail that should not be overlooked.
