NWA joins the National Council of Agricultural Employers (NCAE) in applauding the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) decision to discontinue the Farm Labor Survey (FLS), which was criticized for inflating wage rates for H-2A workers and disadvantaging American farmers.  This change will help domestic agricultural producers compete more fairly against foreign competitors and reduce regulatory burdens, the announcement follows a federal court ruling that invalidated a previous wage-setting methodology based on FLS data. We are optimistic that this shift will lead to market-driven wage determination, benefiting the agricultural sector and the economy overall.
